As we all know that dry cell is not rechargeable, but we can charge by using project “Dry cell charger” previous posted in www.electronicsproject.org up to 6 – 8 times. Now here is another electronics trick by innovative group Dreamlover technology “Cell Sever” which not only charges dry cell but also increase battery life by saving energy. Cell sever is very useful project for those who runs their appliance on dry cell.
Cell sever is very simple project that anyone can understand, the working of the circuit is little bit similar to Dry cell charger based on PCR (Periodic Current Reversal) principle. As we all know that 0.6 volt is dropped by silicon diode. The power supply from battery is given to appliance only when mains is off through diode D3, rest mains is used to supply through diode D2. Diode D4 is connected to positive terminal from mains supply for charging.
